In our office, we have a couple of people who are the DJ’s for the day. Typically it’s themed; we do people’s birth years, certain genres and artists, but it’s always good to get a mix of music. Do you need some new tunes to get you through the working day? Follow along with your new music schedule!
9am– Let’s be honest, most of us would like to be in bed at this time. You don’t want to talk to anyone you just want to listen to some music and get on with your work. To start the morning off you could start with some light acoustic. Ease your way into the day with the acoustic covers playlist on Spotify. This playlist includes some well-known pop songs with a classic twist. It includes favorites such as “Billie Jean”, “Jolene” and “Time After Time”.
11am – By this time, you should all be awake and ready to crank the music up. This is the perfect time to play some of Australia’s hot hits. You can get groovy with Canberra groups, Peking Duk or SAFIA or other artists such as Vance Joy, Post Malone or Alessia Cara.
Fun fact: SAFIA filmed their music video for “You Are The One” on our street in Deakin. If you need directions to get to our office you may be assisted by the music video…
1pm – You’ve just finished lunch and you’re quite relaxed but you’re in need of some motivation. You want to be hyped up and buzzing with positive energy. Some of the best motivational songs of all time are “Eye of the Tiger”, “Livin’ on a Prayer”, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Don’t Stop Believing”. I can guarantee that after listening to one of these songs you will feel ready to tackle anything on!
3pm – You’re nearly there. The day is nearly over but you still need to finish your tasks for the day. RnB will help you with that. If you were born in the 80’s or 90’s this will bring back old memories of your childhood or teenage years. “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child is a song that many of you will know. This will be there to support you through the last couple hours of work. Some of the popular artists that you can rotate through are TLC, Salt N Pepa, Backstreet Boys, the Black-Eyed Peas and lastly the Pussycat Dolls.
5pm – Okay, get excited it’s time to clock off and go home. This time calls for a PARTY. Turn your music up with your own style of music and groove the whole way home.
